Our Newest Addition

May 9th, 2010

Finally the time will come for us to fulfill our destiny…be parents.  Some people may get scared by the idea but we just know it is what we were put in this world to do.  We are still kids at heart so it will be great to have other people to join in our fun.  We will put updates on our sites about the major milestones in hope to keep all our loved ones in the loop.  Although we may be far apart our hearts are constantly connected.

Due date is November 4, 2010

A Wild Hike

January 4th, 2010

This past Saturday, the Mitzenmachers headed outdoors to enjoy Austin’s amazing hill country.  We went to Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve and it was beautiful.  They have a bunch of trails that are well maintained.  There are no pets allowed in the park so Jack had to stay home.  The views were breathtaking…but it was cold.  Thank goodness we warmed up on the way back up the trail.  Our goal is to venture out twice a month before the summer heat comes.

Welcoming A New Year

January 2nd, 2010

Well Friends, another year is here.  We spent Christmas with our family in CA and I was am reminded of the sacrifice we made by moving to Texas.  The Lord has blessed us more than we could have imagined, but he also asked us to make a big sacfice in return.  As we celebrated New Years at home, I couldn’t help but look forward into the future.  What will 2010 bring for the Mitzenmachers?  Will this be the year we add to our family?  What challeneges will be placed before us?  Will we make each day count?  I love the unknown.

I hope that 2010 is a year that our house practices discipline and focuses on the important things life has to offer.  We all should spend more time talking and less time in front of the TV, saying I love you and miss you instead of rolling our eyes when annoyed, but most of all I hope we all can spread more love.  I look forward to sharing our adventures this year and hope that you will be inspired to live the life God has planned for you.

Best wishes and Happy New Year,

Chrissy

A Very Longhorn Christmas Party

December 7th, 2009

This past Saturday we went to celebrate the holidays with Volusion at their holiday party. The venue the North End Zone Club at the DKR Texas Memorial Stadium (where the Longhorns play). It was a super cold night and the stadium lights were not on, but you could feel the burnt orange everywhere you went. What a cool location. The best part is that the Longhorns won the game just by a hair. Everyone went crazy as the last seconds ran out on the clock. Next season we will definitely be going to a game. It is such a blast living in a city like Austin that goes crazy for football.  I even found burnt orange nail polish.

Snow in Austin

December 4th, 2009

No one in South Texas expects the weatherman to say SNOW and it actually happen.  Today is a first since we have moved to Texas.  Snow flurries surrounded our house at noon time.  It was a chilly 32 degrees all day.  The snow didn’t show up on the ground but it was fun getting it in my face as I shared the news on the phone with mom and David.  Here are a few pictures.
